Sane Trilogy is a remake of the first three titles in the series. Warped expands on this by awarding the player with new abilities after each boss is defeated. Cortex Strikes Back introduces several new moves for Crash to utilize, including a high jump, high spin jump, body slam and slide attack. In the original Crash Bandicoot, Crash’s move-set is rather limited he can run, jump and spin his way through treacherous environments and hostile creatures. Several levels place Crash in unique situations which require the use of motorbikes, jet skis, submarines and various wild animals to complete the level. The goal of each level is to guide Crash from the beginning to the end, travelling either into the screen, towards the player or left and right in a side-scrolling manner. Crash Bandicoot is primarily a platforming series. Including new recordings of the games’ dialogue given by the franchise’s more recent voice actors. It also features remastered audio and cutscenes.

The trilogy adds new features across all three games, including unified checkpoints, pause menus and save systems, including both manual and automatic saving, time trials, which were first introduced in Warped, and the ability to play most levels in each game as Crash’s sister, Coco.
Like in the original games, Crash uses spinning and jumping techniques to defeat enemies, smash crates, and collect items such as Wumpa Fruits, extra lives and protective Aku Aku masks. Each game features Crash Bandicoot traversing various levels in order to stop Doctor Neo Cortex from taking over the world.

He discovers that the planets will soon come into alignment, creating a solar flux threatening to destroy the Earth. His plans for world domination thwarted, Cortex falls from his airship and crashes to the ground. Crash escapes from Doctor Neo Cortex’s airship with his girlfriend Tawna, rescued from the clutches of the evil scientist. After Crash leaves, Cortex prepares Tawna, a female bandicoot, as the subject of his experiment.While in captivity, Crash had become attached to Tawna, and is resolved to defeat Cortex, cleaning up the pollution he caused. CRASH BANDICOOT 4: IT’S ABOUT TIMEĬortex chases the bandicoot by throwing it from a castle window, the latter falling into the ocean. Despite Doctor Brio’s warnings, Cortex submits Crash to the Cortex Vortex., a machine that has not been tested, in order to put him under his control.However, the experiment ends in failure, with the Vortex rejecting Crash Seeing that Crash is unworthy of his army of super-animals. One of their test subjects was a peaceful bandicoot, Crash, whom Cortex had planned to make the military leader of his army of animal soldiers. With the help of his old friend, the ingenious Doctor Nitrus Brio, he creates the Ray-Evolvo, a machine they use to transform the various animals living on the archipelago into beasts of superhuman strength. The story of the game takes place on an archipelago of three islands in Southeast Australia, all held by the evil Doctor Neo Cortex.
